Formerly a junior player who really enjoyed playing but never studied the game. My peak was reaching the national phase of the UK Chess Challenge in 2006. I stopped playing thereafter, upon discovery that further progress would require significant work on all aspects of my game. Having rediscovered an interest in the game in 2020, I would now like to start from scratch and learn more deeply about how to play the game that I loved while growing up.

Away from chess, I have a passion for motorsport and race when opportunity affords, and I'm also a keen amateur snooker player.
