I was stationed in Afghanistan, where our base camp was attacked on a three week recon mission. We won, but they took out our generator. Nothing to do for about two weeks, one of my squad brought a portable chess set, and that's where I first learned the game. After that, we regularly play chess and usually for money. So, that's the reason I'm here, so I can win those ten dollar games more often!
