My name is Ashton Yeager and have known the rule to chess since I was 9 years old. I didn't get serious until I was 13 which was November of 2016. It was at this time that I began reading as many books as possible and watching youtube videos. I have played chess.com since January of this year and lost a lot of games. It wasn't until around March that I put in good effort to improve my game. I have gone from 300 on chess.com to 1050 in 10 months. Also for many months now I have been playing chess at my local chess club and just recently started beating a class B player rated 1711 USCF. I have started studying harder now since he told me that once I play some more tournaments I would be class B or A. I have had many players tell me that I will most likely achieve my goal of master within a year or two. That is why I have started training harder. I study 8 hours a day over the weekend and 3 hours afterschool. I complete my 25 tactics trainer problems every day and study combinations. I am also in the process of working through Jeremy Silman's Amateurs Mind book so that I can get really good at playing positional chess. I would love to get some advice from any of you that would like to give me some. I want to do everything I can to reach my goal of master!
