I have 29 years experience in chess teaching. I started to teach online 23 years ago in 2001 and I was one of the first online chess coaches.

Philosophy of a chess lesson:

– Improve your chess understanding.

– Create an opening repertoire working with you step by step.

– Build up your endgame knowledge.

– Find the right plans in the middlegame by studying typical patterns.

– Strengthen your tactical awareness.

I think it is important to have a balance of studying new ideas and getting feedback by analyzing your games. I like to offer supporting materials and homework to help your studies between lessons.

During our training sessions together we look at my games and discuss the tactical and positional aspects of the game. We look at where I made good decisions and where I went wrong and what I should have played instead.
