Hey, this is Tamal Anwar Chowdhury from Bangladesh. I picked up chess a year ago and have been hooked on it ever since. Concepts like the two rook mate, fork, and pins fascinate me. I play for fun but also love to improve my game. I want to play in an OTB tournament someday and win something.
In the early days, my favorite opening was the e4 Italian Opening, and Kings Indian/Pirc for black. Now my favorite opening is the Caro Kann. I learned to play chess from Chess.com, GothamChess, and NM Nelson Lopez's YouTube channel.
I am active in the DabaPathok Bangladeshi chess community on Facebook. I have been invited to be part of the company, and now I am looking to promote chess around me.
