I learned to play chess when I was 9, and played my first tournament at 10. I started playing more seriously in college, gaining 800 rating points over the next 3 years. I became a National Master in 2017, and my team won the 2018 U.S. Amateur Team East. I write regularly on Chess^Summit and my Chess.com blog.
I'm originally from West Lafayette, Indiana, and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University (math/computer science) in 2018. I currently work at Google in Mountain View, CA.
I'm happy to message if you'd like to discuss something, but I generally do not accept friend requests unless I know you outside of chess.com. Thanks for your understanding!
