My USCF rating is 3 years old, back from when I was barely in high school. I've been focusing on schoolwork mainly since then, but have practiced chess on and off, so I have no idea how accurate that rating is.

I'm currently practicing seriously. My goal is to become a national master, but I mainly play chess for fun, and so I don't like tournaments. I have no real timeline for when I would want to achieve NM, but hopefully I can get the title by the end of 2018, which is when I'll be able to play in tournaments.

My favorite variant is chess960, since you don't require an opening repertoire, and my openings are for a large part rather gimmicky.
