1 Corinthians 13: 4-8

Love is patient,

love is kind.

It does not envy, it does not boast, it
is not proud.

It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps
no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

But where there are prophecies, they will cease;

where there are tongues, they will be stilled;

where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Atheism says:

There is no God. The universe is all there is. Matter, energy, chance.
We’re just a cosmic accident: stardust that learned to speak.
When we die, we vanish.
Morality, beauty, purpose. They’re illusions built by evolution to keep us alive a little longer.

There’s something hollow in that, isn’t there?
It explains the how, but never the why.

Atheism can describe motion, but never meaning.
It can analyze the stars, but not tell you why your heart aches when you see them.

“The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’” Psalm 14:1
Not an insult, but a lament. The fool isn’t stupid, he’s lonely for the One he’s denying.

Christianity says:

You were created on purpose by a loving God.
Your life is not random, it’s written by a Hand that knew you before you took your first breath.
The universe isn’t an accident; it’s artwork.
And its Artist, the Almighty, stepped into His own painting to save it.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… and the Word became flesh.” John 1:1,14

Christianity explains not just the existence of the universe, but the existence of love, justice, and beauty.
Because those things flow from the nature of the God who made them.

If there’s no God:

Why do we all instinctively feel that killing, lying, or betrayal are wrong?
Why do humans across every culture create art, music, and worship?
Why does your heart long for meaning that nothing in this world can satisfy?

As C.S. Lewis put it: “If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.”
