I'm a web developer for DigitalBeef, LLC. I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with concentrations in Computer Security and Software Engineering, as well as a Certificate in Music Technology. I have an active interest in music and recording; I write and record songs in my spare time.
I vaguely learned how to play chess in the 7th grade, but I never really got into it until my second year of high school. I restarted my school's old chess club, and played a lot for the rest of high school, maybe read a book or two. Once I went to college I stopped having a lot of time to play.
I've actually have more time now that I work. I basically just study tactics and go over annotated game books.
I have been playing OTB chess for more than 2.5 years and I feel I am better than I'd ever been before. I'm a 1680+ now, hit 1789 at one point but I'm coming back up soon
I'd like to become Expert level at the very least. If I can ever get to 2000+, I'd be a happy man. National Master one day is my highest chess goal.
