Special interest in dynamic and attacking chess. My style is aimed at wrestling the initiative from the opponent, even if it requires hefty material investment. I aim to reach sharp middle-game positions by the use of uncompromising opening systems, including gambits. Openings include the Scotch Gambit and Blackmar-Diemer Gambit with white, the King's Indian and Benoni systems with black and the Open Sicilian with both colours. 

I am an active tournament player and stay current with world chess events. I also have a great interest in the history of chess which I feel is the basis of understanding how the game has progressed through to the current day.
