Retired professor and biochemist/neurobiologist.  My interests, other than chess and science/math, include learning languages [French, Spanish, German (not very good at the last one, but working on it)], cooking and music (piano, currently doing some Chopin Etudes).  Piano practice is hampered by the beginnings of osteoarthritis.  I have belonged to chess clubs in the bustling metropolises of Regina and Saskatoon, Canada, in Melbourne, Australia, and in Boston, USA.  My USCF rating of about 2200 is very very old, earned in the days when I played A grade for MIT.  ACF quick rating +2400.
