I'm a college student studying History and Social Studies at Western Washington University in Bellingham. I'm planning on becoming a teacher at the secondary level. I play chess to help open my horizons of thought; often we humans are bound, and feel restricted to only one or two distinct choices when in reality, we have many. Chess reminds me of this, and helps me divine which 'move' may be the best. I also find it to be relaxing :)
