My mother's village in northern Greece during the summer and winter months.  It's called Παλιό Μικρό Χωριό (Palio Mikro Horio), meaning Old Small Village.  For those of you wondering, yes, there's a New Small Village too. happy.png

A cafe tends to patrons sitting under nature's colossus.

My father's village in southern Greece with a drone view and its white pebble beach.  It's called Φλομοχώρι (Flomohori), named after the aromatic mullein leaf plant common in the area.  It's prized for its medicinal purposes especially in tea.

Technology can truly humble you. Here are two rare wins, both as white, against the Chess.com Computer at levels 7 & 8.

VS. COMPUTER LEVEL 7

VS. COMPUTER LEVEL 8
Now on to Level 9... 😳  😩

One of the toughest tactic puzzles solved (2600 rated puzzle with only 6.4% pass rate).  Older profile pic too. 😜

Two movies you might enjoy:

1) Chess version of Field Of Dreams (father/son angle).

2) The sad, downward spiral of the "Bad Boy of Chess" (there's a fine line between genius & madness).  Scientists have discovered both types of personalities share the same gene that is linked to depression & psychosis.

Fun game, far from perfect, that ended nicely (white pieces):

I was focused on controlling the center while my opponent went pawn chasing and neglected development (both of his rooks & one bishop never left the back rank).  My favorite part is at the end when two of my major pieces (rook-C5 & bishop) are left hanging for the ultimate prize. By the way, I never moved her highness but forked (with mate) my opponent’s 😎😁.
