GM Johan Hellsten, Sweden. Champion of my country in 2006. Some other good results: Individual gold medal at the European Team Championship, Pula 1997, Individual bronze medal at the European Team Championship, Gothenburg 2005, 1st place at Copa Entel, Santiago 2005.

I am the author of the Mastering...Strategy series, as well as Play the Sicilian Kan, all published by www.everymanchess.com .

Since 2008 I am working as a chess trainer at Federación Deportiva de Chimborazo, Ecuador. My student Kevin Noboa achieved a bronze medal at the World U18 Championship in Montevideo 2017.
