Lane-TIOBE
Hey! If you picked up on the username reference I'm very proud of you (seeing as how it is not very obvious) Lane is my favorite character in The Importance of Being Earnest. His dry humor is hilarious. Anyway, Chess-wise I'm the first board for my school team and I finished second in my league behind a wunderkind. I am currently working on establishing a solid repetoire for my jump into collegiate play. I am currently have a strong grasp on Queen's Gambit play and play it exclusively. When I see Nf6 I shudder to think of all the theory that I have to learn to survive the Indian games the budapest, the benko and the benoni so I think I will learn the Trompowsky to get rid of all that annoying theory. As Black I play The Caro Kann against e4 and the Semi Slav against d4. I get a little taken aback by Nf3 or c4 or Nc3. I sometimes try to play a Dutch against those and if I had time I would love to get into deep dutch theory.
