I enjoy chess and learning to improve my knowledge and performance.I began playing chess at 10 years of age,I continued playing recreationally into my twenties.At that time my two best friends where entering statewide tournaments in California and doing pretty well.I began to buy chess books and study chess.This was before internet was widely available to the public.I purchased a chess computer in '85 and began practicing and learning with it.I could never beat my friends and playing to a draw was my greatest challenge,rarely accomplished.I was away from chess for a time and have renewed my love for the game.
