Hey everybody! I’m Witty, so glad you’ve landed here! I’m a highschooler who has fallen deeper and deeper in love with our lovely game of chess, and it’s been such an amazing 2025!

Goals for 2026 --

Rating goals: 1900 rapid, 2050 rapid, 2200 puzzles

Openings: Just find some I’m comfortable with. I always switch openings very frequently, and I’d like to find something I like and stick with, especially against 1. e4.

Books to read: The Amateur’s Mind, Pawn Power in Chess, My 60 Memorable Games, Modern Chess Strategy: Advances Since Nimzowitsch, Endgame Strategy, maybe Art of Attack.

Endgames to work on: Rook, Rook & Knight, Knight vs Bishop, Opposite Colored Bishops, Queen

Other: Play in my first OTB tourney! And never play a blitz or bullet game again!

Also some longer-term goals: NM before graduating college & IM all-time.
