Hi, I'm Rose. I'm a FIDE Master (FM). I earned the title when I reached 2300 FIDE in January 2024. This happened a few weeks before my 15th birthday.

Now I'm working towards the IM title. I already have four IM norms. But I’m not an IM yet because I have yet to reach 2400 FIDE. Hopefully this can happen in the next month or two.

I earned my first IM norm at the 2024 North American Open in Las Vegas, Nevada in December 2024. I earned my 2nd one at an IM norm event which was held over Labor Day weekend in 2025 (late August & early September) in Charlotte, North Carolina. And I earned my 3rd one in late December 2025 at a tournament in Sunnyvale, California. My 4th norm came at the Saint Louis Masters in late Feb / early March 2026.

I’ve met all the requirements for the WGM title. But I have no interest in that title. I just want to become an IM.

I’ve played in the U.S. Women’s Championship twice, in 2024 & 2025. And I hope to play in this event many more times in the future.

So I’m fine with playing in women-only events occasionally. But I want to play in tournaments with guys most of the time, and I’m opposed to women’s chess titles. Send me a message if you’d like me to explain my reasoning on this.

The highest rated person I ever beat online is Hikaru (blitz legend and the world #2 in classical chess at the time). I beat him in round 1 of Freestyle Friday on May 2nd, 2025. Here's the game:

I’ve won $100 from chess.com by being the top finishing woman in the Titled Tuesday tournament four times. When I'm not studying chess, I enjoy reading, running, working in the garden, and playing with my 2 little brothers. My favorite school subjects are English, history, geography, & psychology.

Also, I’m a vegan.

I learned how to juggle during the boring Covid pandemic lockdown year of 2020. I used to be able to juggle 4 balls rather easily, and also 3 clubs or rings. But I haven’t practiced much recently.

Many years ago (2014 - 2017), I devoted much of my time to music, primarily playing the piano, though I also spent some time with the violin.
