Daniel LeachGainesville, FL, United States
Hi, I'm a second-year medical student and former professional chess tutor!
I started playing competitive chess when I was 11 and am now a USCF Candidate Master (CM), rated 2182 USCF and 2160 FIDE. Growing up, I competed in the Massachusetts State Scholastic Chess Championship three times and was featured in Chess Life. I was also ranked 37 out of the top 100 players in the US aged 18 in 2010.
As a young adult, I've competed throughout the US, defeating several National Masters, FIDE Masters, and achieving a draw with International Master Martin Neubauer. My draw against IM Neubauer, although riddled with inaccuracies and missed wins for both sides towards the end, can be viewed at: http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1873000
