I became interested in chess in the Army while watching inmates play at the United States Disciplinary Barracks (military max custody prison) as I worked as a correctional non-commissioned officer in 1991. I learned to play from a fellow soldier. I've been a recreational player since. I've played in two live tourneys and flopped the first (very nervous) and won 1st place (C class) in my second. I like to think I'm good but could be better if I had the patience to study. I just love to play! My wife hates it because I play so much. Always up for a challenge. Look me up!
