I "discovered" chess April 2011 when I became bored with mine sweeper and found chess titans on my lap top.  I played a local friend OTB, but found it hard to get together for games.  We were fortunate to find chess.com and began to play online.  When our interest levels were different I started playing others online and began to take advantage of the articles & videos.  Along the way my kids observed my interest and wanted to learn, so I started King's  Kids Chess Club at Lighthouse Christian School.  I felt like it was the blind leading the blind, but perservered.  Can you believe in this day of internet, video games, and everything else, we have 10-20 kids each week!  This is 10% of our student body.  Anyway I view myself as a life long student of the game and value chess right behind God and Family.  I've tried most everything else to find fulfillment in life and the answer for me is the King of kings, Jesus Christ.  No I won't shove it in anyone's face, but I'm always pleased to exchange testimony and/or ideas.  Hope I haven't gone on too long.

Yours in Christ,

Ken Baurley
