I have tried to play chess many times, but I was never patient enough, or good enough, to play well.  I also tried the game Go, with the same problem.

I have recently been looking for another hobby, and I decided to try chess again.  This time, I find it very interesting, and I am taking the time to study the game and learn tactics.  I am still not very good, but I am determined to get a USCF rating, and play in tournaments.

Also, this time I am looking forward to making new friends who also enjoy chess.
