I am retired from the watch and clock repair business. I use to play in high school every day during break in VoTech drafting class. My main opponent taught me chess the hard way. Finally, he either felt sorry for me or needed more of a challenge and bought me a book on chess. After half a semester I finally began to win some games. He was in Tulsa's Central High school chess club until he went to West Point upon graduating. (I've forgotten your name but if you are out there please get in touch.) This was during the war and I always worried about him. I haven't played much since then.
