Chessturner
I make chess sets. I have been turning chess pieces for a while now. I like to use walnut and maple, but I also use birch and poplar and occasionally oak. Exotic woods can be very beautiful, but are expensive and can be hard to find. I make the chess boards out of walnut and maple veneers with decorative border inlays. Most everyone I know wants one, (even those who don't really play chess, people just love the look of a chess set), so I keep very busy. I hope this is something I can continue doing all my life. I have been playing chess since I was a kid. I like to play long games, and enjoy playing against humans a lot more than playing against a computer. My online games are usually a 5 day time limit, but I try to play everyday.
