I am so ashamed of my government. A handful of people, protected by endless bureaucracy, have completely usurped our democracy; Americans have absolutely no control over the federal government. The concept of America is America's original constitution of a dissemination of power among the states. Our civil war, among other things, destroyed that key aspect of the concept of America. Another key concept was to keep "money" out of politics as much as possible through something like due process. Those two key issues abide only in the concept of America, which is as far from the reality of America as possible. America just may be the last empire. Machines are taking the place of exploitation. Empires are too big to adapt with, keep up with, the rapid cultural evolution of the twenty-first century. Because of America's inability to culturally evolve on a national level cultural instability is occurring. American's reality: The average American is deeply bothered by inner city slums where crime and starvation is rampant. The average American is deeply disturbed by the endless wars waged against other countries for financial gain. Because of the average American's powerlessness to stop these, and many other horrible actions of the federal government, Americans try to not think about their pitiful circumstances, they try to distract themselves with food, drugs, and sex. Don't hate Americans... hate their government and pity their powerless populace.
