I am a degreed Electrical Engineer from UC San Diego with a double major in European History. I did not obtain my degrees until I was 44. These degrees also include an AA. I currently reside in Mountain View, CA, about 30 miles south of San Francisco. I took up chess because I was a terrible player. I now have about 400 games under my belt. I bottomed out at 1060 before I started to rise to my current rating, whatever it is right now. Other hobbies are travel, reading, 1000+ piece scenic jigsaw puzzles, etc...
