Hello! I am Matthieu Castro. Before I played chess I do random stuff like programming games on Stencyl (which I never finish). But after being inspired, and developing an interest in chess, I decided to be quite serious about it. I learned how to play chess when I was 9 but I only got knowledgable about it at 14.
Before, I longed/dreamed to reach the GM title.
Fast forward ≈2.7 years after creating this account. Now I kinda treat chess as a hobby instead. Achieving the GM title requires a little bit too much attention/dedication into chess; not that I lack the interest to do so. Its just that there are so many other things to attend to.
Just like any other hobby of mine, my interest in it goes away and comes back. There are times where I left chess for a long time, but I end up coming back to it anyways. And every time I go back, I always go attempt to be even better than before. I guess old hobbies (habits) die hard.
