I discovered chess back in fourth grade. I was much better than my peers at that time. When I got to college, I finally got some competition. I hope to develop my ability in chess to the highest level possible.
I remember the news coverage of the tournaments between Kasparov and Deep Blue, the powerful computer. When the computer finally beat Kasparov in a tournament, everyone started talking about whether computers would be able to out think humans etc. But they missed the fact that the most powerful computer yet made can not ALWAYS beat a man. What can we conclude from that? That the game of chess is amazingly deep and full of possibilities. I wish they would have covered that in the news. I enjoy the game and look forward to meeting lots of chess lovers here!
