The Phoenix of Chess
As many of you know, the level of activity has been low for some time. Many of our members have decided not to log on for some time. We are a team full of high-spirited, kind, and competitive people, yet, we still lack the numbers in team matches and vote chess. But that was then; this is now.

The Hurricanes of Chess are officially rising from the ashes, and will now start to be an exciting, active, and competitive side again! We want kind and hard-working individuals who enjoy this great game! In order to be that competitive team again, we need to do some more recruiting! As an incentive, these are the following additions we will make:
- 100 members - One additional Admin position will be available
- 50 ACTIVE members (Has been online in the past 2 weeks and somehow participates in team activities) - JJN2 will once again purchase premium staus and will host Team-Only Chess.com Online tournaments in 3 rating divisions
- 125 members - Another Admin position available
- 150 members or 100 ACTIVE members - The HURRICANES OF CHESS League (managed through Chess.com and LeagueRepublic) will re-open with 2 rating divisions
- 175 members - Another Admin position available
- 200 members or 125 ACTIVE members - The HURRICANES OF CHESS League adds a 3rd rating division, meaning more competive play
- 200 members - The HURRICANES OF CHESS League adds a dramatic secret twist, to be revealed later!
To attain these numbers, simply spread the word! Tell your friends and opponents about this group! Although we have the right to ban users from joining, we will never do so unless there are clear signs of poor sportsmanship! Any player of ANY rating/skill level can join this team! We do not exclude!
So Hurricanes, I challenge you to unite as one, to increase in numbers, to participate in matches, to band together in vote chess, to have lively discussions with each other, to be friends, and to have a lot of fun!
