AUBURN CA CC Players top Spring Quads

The SCC/USCF Rated Spring G75|15 Quads wrapped up last night and both sections were won by Auburn CA CC players as 3Ke31-0 topped the Quad and Tijuanaboomboom won the MiniSwiss.

In the Quad, 3Ke31-0 (Vishva Nanuganda), lowest seeded player in the group, beat samiralazawi (Samir Alazawi) and EM-TheChessShark (Enoch Martinez) in the first two weeks, then drew with top seeded J3chess24 (Javier Silva) to top the field with 2.5/3 half point ahead of Javier.

In the MiniSwiss, it was second seeded Tijuanaboomboom (J. R. Nicholson) nabbing the top spot with wins over runner up Johnwalters1234 (John Walters) in the opening week and then suffering a draw to koojeremy (Jeremy Koo) the second week before whipping Shanlee132 (Shan Lee) in the final round last night. Shan Lee raised eyebrows with a huge first round upset over swojnowski (Stan Wojnowski) in the first round, took a by in round 2 then ran into the winner in the final round.
