How To Play The Bughouse Tournament
1. Registration: After registering for the event, make sure that you join the official club on Chess.com. Only club members will be able to play in the tournament.
2. Joining: One hour before the tournament, join the tournament. It is recommended that you join as early as possible (limit one hour previously) to ensure that there are no issues.
3. Partner: Submit a partner request to your partner for the event. Make sure that you know your partner's username on Chess.com before the event, and it's a good idea to send them a friend request. If you are not partnered before the event starts, you will be paired as an individual with a random partner. There are two ways to partner. 1) Type "/partner username", and 2) click on partner's username and send a partner request. In both cases, your intended partner will need to accept the request.
4. Connection: Both players must remain connected at all times. If you are disconnected, your partnership may be broken.
5. Communication: In bughouse, it is permitted to connect with your partner via services like Zoom, Skype, etc. to communicate directly. You may also use the available buttons for rapid communication.
6. Standings: On Chess.com, each player will show individually in the standings list, but as long as both players remain partnered throughout the event, partners will have the same score.
