Season 1 Playoff Pairings

Hello Great Lakes Chess League Season 1 Members, thank you for sticking with me until this point. We did have a few dropouts, no shows and cancellations over the last few weeks of the season, I am working hard to ensure this won't be an issue in future seasons, and to streamline the whole process, but, if you've stuck with me until now I appreciate you, and am excited to announce the season 1 playoff pairings!

This season's playoffs will be a best of 3, so the first player to achieve 2 points will get their team a win. This will be achieved over the next 3 weeks, with all matches to be decided before the end of the day Sunday, March 20th. So, as usual, make contact with your opponent within the next 24 hours, but, this time, remember you will be playing a best of 3 match, starting with the colors designated in the pairings, alternating colors each match. Matches are to be the league standard 30+30. I hope this is easy to understand but if you have any questions please ask someone, or shoot me a message. Just remember, you aren't only playing one game against your opponent, it's a best of 3, first person to 2 points.

The team matchups are Michigan vs Superior for gold and silver, while Erie will battle Ontario for bronze. Big Grand Prix points are also on the line, as 3 points will be awarded to each playing member of the Bronze winning team, 4 points to each member of the team that wins Silver, and a full 5 points to each player of the team that wins gold.
