Hello, Save our Beautiful Planet members. Welcome to Topic 4, A Search Engine Called Ecosia.

Now, for those who were members on June 2nd, 2021, know that I made a news post about Ecosia already. But that was when we were at 80? 90 members? I don't know. However, this post contains more information about Ecosia, so still take a quick peak.

Anyway, Ecosia is a search engine that uses it's money to plant trees. So, how does it work? 

Ecosia works just like Google, except it's awesome (which isn't really a word). Still following? Good. Okay, then. Ecosia uses the money it gets from ads to plant trees. And don't worry. Ecosia isn't littered with ads. Actually, Google has ads. Now, what do ads look like? Let me show you with this screenshot I took down below. 

So, from the picture above, you can see that I searched 'chess.com.' See the arrow with the word 'ad;? That's the ad. Ecosia gets money from the ad, and uses the money from ads to plant trees. And see the arrow with the words 'amount of Ecosia searches'? It takes about 45 searches to plant a tree. According to the calculater, I planted: 19.6666667 trees. 

My immediate reaction after seeing Ecosia was 'this is awesome! But is it legit?' The answer is 'yes' it is, if you don't want to spend time watching a bunch of facts about Ecosia. Also, if Ecosia wasn't legit, then I wouldn't be writing a news post about it. 

So: go get Ecosia! Now! Go plant some trees and help the earth.
