Tournament Issues 4/29

Dear all,

I want to apologize for the confusion surrounding the tournament. In a way, it's a bit good that we're ironing out the issues as we go. Since I was unfamiliar with this platform, I was under the impression that things were set up and ready to go. However, it seems that there were a number of snags, namely that

1. You have to register for the tournament, even if you are already part of the club

2. After the start time of the tournament has passed, you no longer have the option to register.

3. You have to play a minimum number of games before you can register for the tournament.

Because of this last point specifically, we cannot resolve this issues today. However, I offer this alternative: when we meet on Thursday in the LMC, we will discuss a SECOND TOURNAMENT to be played in a week's time. We will also use the computer to show everyone a step-by-step of how to join the club, enroll in a tournament, and play the games. We can also discuss whether or not we want to do it in person with chromebooks - if we choose to do so, we would have to have the tournament during the school week, probably on Friday.

Again, sorry for the confusion, but we will come back at this stronger and with a better idea of how to do it! This will also give us more time to advertise and hopefully generate some interest in the tournament throughout the school.
