Coaching Strategy: Process-based training:

My coaching philosophy emphasizes learning new things about the game and embracing the process of getting better. For example, if you are a strong attacking chess player, but weak at positional play or endgame, we will work more on positional play and endgame. When you choose to work with me, we will analyze your tournament games, delving deep into the things that went well and wrong in your games. Together, we will work towards dissecting and improving your thought process during games, pinpointing precisely where we can improve your thought process.

Based on this analysis, I will provide learning materials and exercises tailored to address your specific weaknesses, whether they are calculation, positional play, endgame-play, or elsewhere. Between our coaching sessions, I will assign homework tasks, often in the form of puzzles covering various themes – tactical or positional – all designed to reinforce the areas where you can make significant strides.

All I ask of you is to promise me that you are willing to put the hard work in and focus on the learning and the improvement aspects more than the results. If you do so, I can promise that the results will automatically come.

For more information/questions or to get started on this chess journey together, please feel free to reach out to me via chess.com messaging or the email address listed above.
