I’ve been playing chess since I was a kid—some of my earliest games were with my grandfather. While I never took it too seriously, the release of The Queen’s Gambit sparked my interest again, like it did for many others. I started giving the game a bit more attention in 2025, but I still consider myself a casual player at heart.

I prefer rapid 10-minute games—long enough to think, short enough to squeeze in during a busy day. That said, I still think slower time controls are better for real learning and growth.

My play style leans aggressive. I like to go on the attack early, which makes things exciting—but admittedly, it's also why I lose more than I should. My current goal is to become an above-average player with an ELO somewhere north of 1200, which I plan to reach by going back to basics and truly understanding the fundamentals of the game.

I’m also fascinated by the history of chess. It’s a timeless game with origins going back to India in the 6th century, and it continues to be enjoyed by people of all ages, in every corner of the world.

Outside of chess, I’ve got plenty of interests—but I usually find I can only focus on one hobby at a time. Right now, chess has the spotlight. That said, I can still solve a Rubik’s Cube in under 30 seconds—just in case you were wondering.
