- 1. General Terms
By registering and participating in this online tournament, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions as well as Chess.com Fair Play Policy.- Indian Championship Esports (ICE) reserves the right to update, amend, or revise these terms at any time without prior notice. All changes will be communicated via official ICE channels.
- Failure to comply may result in disqualification, bans from future events, or legal action if necessary.
4. Fair Play & Anti-Cheat Policy
Strict Zero-Tolerance Policy on Cheating: Any use of chess engines, outside assistance (human or AI), second devices, or analysis tools during games is strictly prohibited.
All games will be monitored by Chess.com’s Fair Play Detection System and ICE moderators.- If flagged, your account will be subject to review by both ICE and Chess.com Fair Play teams.
You Agree To:- Not receive help from any person, computer, or software during the game.
- Not analyze the game on another board or platform while playing.
- Play only from one device in a distraction-free environment.
- Keep your webcam and microphone ON if required during playoffs or final rounds (video monitoring may be enforced).
- Cooperate fully in any post-match investigation or interview.
5. Consequences of Fair Play Violation
Immediate disqualification from the tournament.- Removal from ICE events and Chess.com club.
- Possible account suspension or permanent ban from Chess.com.
- Public disclosure of disqualification for transparency
- (ICE reserves the right to publish disqualification notices).
6. Game Rules & Format
The tournament will follow a chess.com game format.- Time controls, round dates, and pairing details will be shared on the official ICE Discord or email updates.
- Players must be present in the tournament lobby at least 15 minutes before the start of each round.
- Disconnections are the responsibility of the player. No rematch unless ICE deems it a technical error on the platform side.
7. Code of Conduct
Respectful and professional behavior is expected at all times — in-game chat, Discord, and other communications.- Harassment, abuse, or unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated.
8. Prizes & Results
Winners must verify their identity before receiving prizes (Govt ID or PAN for KYC).- Prizes may take 15–30 business days to be processed after the conclusion of the tournament.
- In case of a tie or technical issues, ICE reserves the right to make the final decision.
9. Data Usage
By participating, you agree to ICE and Chess.com using your name, game stats, and likeness in marketing or publicity material.- No personal data will be sold or shared with third-party advertisers.
10. Legal & Jurisdiction
This tournament is governed by the laws of the Republic of India.- All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, India.
