Hello everyone! I was playing a match awhile back and someone told me that I was a weak player, all because I repeatedly put them in check? Now I know I'm not the greatest of players, but I don't feel as if his reasoning was backed by anything real. I have two games, take a look if you will:

Time was 5 minutes for the whole game. We had 66 moves.

I replied to his accusation by saying I was actually a strong player, as a weak player can not prevent those checks from happening but a strong one could. (An example was how he just blindly moved his king and kept getting checked, but the few times I moved mine he was safe!) This second match we played, I played as white and used an opening I'm more familiar with. Watch how different the match went down... same rules, same time, same everything. Just different colors.

At this point I had him raging.

"Still think I'm a 'weak' player?"

"Of course, WHO PLAYS LIKE THAT?!"

"lol Someone better then you! At least I don't require timeouts to beat my opponents!"

"Welcome to my block list."

And he left. lol

So my question to this forum: Does the use of multiple checks make you a weak player, or a stronger one? Does it upset you like it obviously did Mr. Sidious? Would you find checking an aggressive trait that all attackers need, or just a mask for the powerless?
