Atlanta Chess Mess

Hello Chess.com Atlanta community. In November 2010 a buddy and I started Atlanta Chess Mess.  We bought 7 boards and we started inviting people to play.  Since then we have grown to 62 members.   We meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month at Manuel's Tavern from 7-10PM, and we typically have 8-12 people show up for each meeting.   The venue is great and the people are interesting.   Atlanta Chess Mess provides a fun and relaxed place to play chess, eat some food, and drink a beer or some coffee while playing the game we love.  We have people of all skill levels.  700-2000.  Boys, girls, old, young, black and white, green and gray. We are always looking to grow the group.  Regardless of whether you are a master or new to the game, you will likely find someone of your skill level to play competitive games with, and if not, you can teach or be taught.    Join our facebook page which is listed on the google site for all updates and information about upcoming meetings and events. The club is free, just show up, bring a friend or don't, and let's play some chess.
