Club Rules & Guidelines
To maintain a respectful, educational, and engaging space, all members must adhere to these rules:
1. Respect & Sportsmanship
Treat everyone with kindness. No harassment, bullying, or toxic behavior.
Win or lose with grace. Unsportsmanlike conduct (e.g., gloating, blaming, or rage-quitting) is prohibited.
Discrimination (based on race, gender, nationality, etc.) or hate speech will result in immediate removal.
2. Focus on Learning
Pawns are our priority! While all chess topics are welcome, we encourage discussions on:Pawn structures (isolated, doubled, passed pawns).
Pawn breaks, sacrifices, and endgame techniques.
How pawns influence openings, middlegames, and endgames.
Share resources (books, videos, puzzles) to help others improve.
3. Game Integrity
Zero tolerance for cheating. Do not use engines, sandbag, or collude during games.
When playing club members, follow standard chess etiquette:Respect time controls (e.g., don’t stall).
Offer draws politely.
Analyze games honestly (no engine-assisted post-mortems).
4. Participation & Activity
Be active! Inactive members (no login for 60+ days) may be removed to keep the club vibrant.
Engage in discussions, puzzles, and tournaments.
No spamming. Avoid irrelevant links, promotions, or excessive self-promotion.
5. Privacy & Safety
Do not share personal details (email, phone, address) of yourself or others.
Report suspicious behavior to admins immediately.
6. Admin Authority
Admins enforce rules fairly. Violations may result in warnings or bans.
Decisions are final.
