Spilled coffee on my (mousepad-like) board! Help!

So I have this board that's not plastic but rather has a mousepad-like feel. It's one of the tournament sized ones that came with triple-weighted pieces. Anyway, I spilled a little bit of coffee on the edge. What's the best way to clean this up? Scrub with a paper towel + water? I need to be more careful in the future!

Thanks!

I put mine in the wash macine but, it still smells like rubber. It cleaned up nice though without soap.

i would kick the chess board out of the house and on the backyard front deck.if it was sunny, the coffee would dry. if its raining... well, too bad for you...

actually the rain would wash it off :D

Wal*Mart no longer exists. It is now Walmart.

Its your call;  Windex, Scrubbing Bubbles, Baking Soda, I would try any non-abrasive, and nothing with bleach.  Good Luck!     try white-out, or modelers paint to cover it up.

But be sure you rub the chess board's nose in it before you throw it outside.
