Yes , I've  done a lot of searches over the past 2 days. I'm looking for software that I can download preferably free that allows me to play openings I'm interested . But the openings should be built in and I can just choose it and the computer goes along teaching with me until I get it then I test myself on it. This way I can learn much faster by repitition. I've downloaded Chess position trainer but I really can't seem to get it to work so any other new software out there? Oh yea I also saw a member here created an opening software for android but you have to pay. Unfortunately I may not like it and don't want to pay for it.

Chess position trainer in fact might be the closest thing to what you're looking for. Maybe you should check out its support or forum pages to get it working.

Go to Chess Openings Wizard (Book Up) It is not free, but its intro. and overview of what it does for you will give you a good overall view of what you are looking for free chess opening software to do.

By the way together with that free chess opening software you will need a chess games database of about 5 million+ games.  If you don't your computer software will not have any games to build an opening tree for you.  The reason you need an opening tree is because that is the outline opening moves and games that follow those opening moves of your opening repertoire that the computer uses to automate your instruction on the chess opening software.

Download the chess engine Houdini or Rybka both have free versions that show you ever named book opening. it will show you in each position who has the overall advantage and show you sound moves for each position. Thats what i use.
