My standard rating on ICC crossed 1300 with this win although that's kind of distorted. My 25+10 pool rating is ~1500 after 10 games. With this ICC account, when I was brand new, I was playing a lot of faster time control games with no increment. Literally 90% of my losses are flagging. I have an 1199 in the 15 minute pool with a 1274 high and that's with no increment and really fast, too so.
Anyway, opponent came out with an unorthodox reply (Mengarini Variation) to my Sicilian and then hung a pawn in the opening. I used this one pawn advantage to roll into a winning endgame and eventually my opponent imploded. I think I was bouncing on increment between 1:15 and 3:00 from move 25 on lol. I have a habit of doing that.
Edit: Meh...using V3 I forgot that messages post in the opening forum unless you select otherwise. If a mod could move this to the analysis or showcase forum, it would be appreciated. At least while it's here maybe someone could point out any obvious theoretical misunderstandings I display here in the Sicilian. I've just started using it about three week ago, tops.
