I go on a friends profile and it says that there account was closed. What does that mean? Did they close it or did chess.com do it? If chess.com closed it, why would they do that?

They could have closed their own account or Chess.com could have for violating any of the TOS. If you know them outside of the site, then you can ask them that way.

Because sometimes my friend logs off during a live game. They needed to like go to a lesson or something on ice hockey. After I get my points for winning by "game abandoned", it says they violated our terms of service and may have there account restricted. They do that multiple times with me and are still having fun on the site today...
Plus, I only friended the person with the restricted account for about 5 hours. And there account was closed.

Depends on which TOS they violate. Abandoning games just gets their account restricted with playing live games as far as I know.

It may not have been closed by Chess.com. They may have done it themselves, though with a new account that is probably unlikely. I looked through your list of friends and didn't see a closed account so I can't say much more than that.

I also looked through your recent live games and don't see any closed accounts. Do they still show closed when you look? I've never seen any accounts that were completly wiped (if that is what happened).
