Unfortunately, that leaves ProKnight98 with the impossible task of separating out and discounting those votes that were the result of campaigning from those that were not.
The rule, along with the consequence, was clear at the outset.

The problem is that it only takes one player to advertise and there is a clear problem. For example I follow this thread and normally vote, and would have always voted for Natalia, but do see the problem if people advertise.

Yeah, there have been some other cases of minor campaigning but this last one was in a completely different league, advertising outside the thread and soliciting votes from people who hadn't previously even heard of this thread.
To qualify as campaigning, it must be coherent and compelling, something which nobody in this thread has managed.
Interesting Ivan. I've never heard any coherent campaigning, ever. Compelling...sure.

@Fezzik: Even though Natalia didn't campaign herself, someone else did, and those who saw the campaign would come here and vote. It would be hard to distinguish votes from those who voted because of the thread or because they were here originally, as TheGrobe said.
Even if I didn't count any votes from the thread at the time, two days later there might be someone who voted because of the campaign and it is hard for me to tell.

You never know, he could still win. Considering how much he's wanted to win, it would be a hoot if he re-opened his account after another couple weeks like last time, only to discover he missed the moment of his victory and thus was no longer eligible any more.
