The danger is this could turn to be like one of those conversations about push-ups on the Internet, and you don't get anyone who can do less than 200 on the Web.
How do you behave after a game?
Well, sure, but everyone knows that internet push-ups are far easier than real push-ups. It's why you never see Phys. Ed. classes offered via correspondence.
I'm sure there are many different techniques. I personally like to use the scroll wheel on my mouse.
All I know how to do is normal push-ups. I think I'll keep it that way.
You're still in grade school and internet push-ups are a real man's game, best to give it a couple of years yet.
This thread is meant to be a fun one, but telling too!
I often criticize myself for how I feel or react to my opponent after a loss.
I noticed that I almost never give trophies when I lose. Just when I win. lol. I also find myself typing "ty" through clenched teeth and that's only if the opponent has bothered to say gg or something of the like. Any info on their happiness is secretly unwelcome.
I've run into a few opponents who were higher rated and still made very gracious comments when they lost...I admire that. It's not that I get hateful when I lose...I just don't like the moment or anything about it. My tummy tightens and I feel negative. And if it's games in a row...ugh.
How are you usually feeling after a game and do you express any of it to the opponent? Any patterns in your behavior?
when I lose a game I try to accept the fact that I lost and that I blundered somewhere. I go back and review the game.
If I win a game, I'm not all in your face you lost hahaha. I normally say, "GG" and fyou want we can review.

I did 10 while I was typing this post!

Nothing special. Handshake; sometimes a bit of analysis after the game.
Online I rarely chat during blitz, this "gg" stuff originates from poker, I think
I disagree, when I played poker I wondered for a very long time where the gg stuff comes from in a HU match... gg's doesn't really apply to a heads up poker match in my opinion. It must come from somewhere besides poker.

I wouldn't consider Internet push ups a real man's game anyways. A real man would be doing actual push ups not internet push ups. I can do more push ups than most kids my age thanks to sports.
OTB I like to stand on the table and gloriously urinate on my opponent.
[EDIT: no matter the outcome]
lol that cracked me up. Online I usually don't say anything win or lose. OTB I usually say good game or shake hand when I lose.
see that I have lost, Give them a trophy (as long as they didn't swear in the chat), ask for a rematch, look at my rating loss ( if it were rated), wait for a reply, Play chess
If I lose because of my own mistakes--- I TRY very HARD to say gg.
If I lose on time-- I say 'lucky you'. Because it is, perhaps I got distracted and lost time or he randomly made a move that I had to think about even though it was not really that good.
If I win the game--I always say gg, I feel like a bully for doing it tho.
If I win a game on time--I say nothing, because obviously I got lucky.
Well then, I'm gooood at pool, but not really gooood.
