I have created a group and I was curious if anyone had any good ideas of how to try to get some members in it.

I'm surprised you haven't had any takers for this:

Cigars and Booze group

  • When you can't go to a place to have a cigar and play some chess, come here and team up with cigar and booze enthusiasts and chess enthusiasts alike. Anyone is welcome! Pour yourself a good spirit, light up a cigar and enjoy!

The "I like beer and chess" group started the same time as you and already has 1282 members!  There are a number of other drinking groups.

However, the cigar and cigarette groups aren't doing so well. None of them has more than 5 members.  I'm surprised. I would bet that there are still many players who enjoy a good smoke, especially outside of the US. Evidently they don't like hanging out with other smokers.

Maybe if you started some threads extolling the virtues of playing while enjoying your newly imported Cubans, you'd stir up a little interest.

If nothing else, you'd probably attract some free health advice .
