Yes the chess.com staff does a pretty good job of keeping this website a fun and safe place to play chess. If you have a problem just be sure and use their support to get help or anything resolved. Also if you didn't know you can block other members. Good luck to you and hope you don't take haters to heart.

OP, I apologize that you had to deal with this sort of behavior on our site. That user's account as been closed for abuse. We don't tolerate that kind of language, and we don't feel that you should have to put up with it.
There are some tools at your disposal to protect yourself:
- You can block any user on the site. Once they're blocked, they won't be able to communicate with you nor will you be paired with them in open challenges.
- You can disable chat with users who aren't your friends.
- You can report abusive users to us via our contact form. The forums are a great way to get support, information, and advice; the best way to get a matter like this dealt with is to contact us directly via support.
