I've been having a problem in the app where for instance say that black has a bishop on a5 and a pawn on c4. I will move my b2 pawn to b4 to threaten the bishop, and the pawn on c4 will take my pawn as if it were on b3.
I couldn't find any other way to reach out to chess.com to report the issue, but I honestly didn't look very hard. This, however, is probably a problem they want to fix
