Make sure your board is easy (think rollup and plastic) so that it can easily fit on a table. If possible, hopefully you know German or a freind of yours does. It is much easier to ask if anyone cares for a game in the common language. In addition, try to ask people who are not busy (example: have children with them, on a date, you know what I'm talking about). Source: traveled to Russia this last summer. Have fun on your trip.
